The World Peace Flag Ceremony is a celebration of the oneness of humanity,
inviting all people to send their heartfelt wishes for peace by
naming each country of the world as its flag is raised. During
the Ceremony, a prayer is recited for peace and happiness to prevail
in every nation of the world. The World Peace Flag Ceremony is
a moving ritual of prayer for world peace. The Ceremony has been
presented all over the world in settings ranging from small gatherings
of friends to the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations.
It is a moving experience of our shared commitment to peace on
Earth. The World Peace Prayer Society is a non-profit, non-sectarian,
member-supported organisation. The society works to support the
UN in realising its mission of world peace. The Society respects
the freedom of individuals to choose among the world's beautiful
teachings, religions, spiritualities and philosophies.
